About Aurelia Ast: Founder of Design Quest

After working in the building design industry for many years, Aurelia has helped countless Sydneysiders achieve their dream home, but she sensed a gap in the market for a full-service offering.

She realised homeowners commonly find the design and build process confusing, intimidating and overwhelming. They’re expected to absorb and understand complex terminology and legislation, becoming instant project managers in an industry they have no experience in.

While many providers help clients with a single element of the design, draft and approval process, Aurelia noticed clients are often left to put the pieces together themselves and engage additional contractors to get to a construction-ready stage.

This led Aurelia to establish Design Quest: a unique consultancy guiding homeowners through the entire building design, drafting and approvals process in a stress-free way.

With a solid background in civil engineering, building design and drafting, Aurelia is an experienced project coordinator, leading large teams of architects, building designers and engineers at top architectural and engineering design firms in Sydney.

Aurelia is also a registered Building Designer with the BDAA (Building Designers Association of Australia) and a qualified Civil Engineer, recognised by EA (Engineers Australia). She thrives on client communication and helping homeowners create incredible, livable, efficient home spaces on a budget.
